As usual, I forgot that I have a blog, I didn't log into my computer for quite sometime, also partly because I have to stare at the computer for over 9hours everyday,and felt that I should rest my eyes and mind at home (that excludes looking at my phone and mini..)
Last year on 18nov to 22nov, was my first time traveling overseas with Inez! It's also been a while since my family travelled together! I think the last time was traveling to Malaysia or maybe Perth. Can't remember..
Nevertheless, I always wanted to travel with my parents,to sort of revive the long-lost feeling I had. My sister, as usual, always busy with her own stuff, so she did not go, but we have 2 additions, Inez and her cousin, Jeremiah! No, Hubs did not go as he has to stay for his internship.
We booked Royal Carribean cruise to Port Klang and Phuket, a 5d4n trip. I always though that cruise is good if you have children because it's safe and you can go back to the room as and when needed, like when they fuss,when they want to sleep or when they poo...
As it's also a long while since I've travelled (not counting Malaysia and work trips), I started packing early! Too many reasons to be excited!
Hmmm... I have never thought that bringing a child overseas can be so...troublesome? The amount of diapers I had to bring during a 5 days trip is already half a big packet, say about 20+ pieces? So many different kind, like during the day when I am outside, I will bring pull-ups. Before she changes into her PJs but after washing her up,I will use Petpet, and at night I will use Pampers. Oh ya, not forgetting her swim diapers!
Wipes, I need to bring the anti-bacterial ones, hand and mouth wipes and the normal wipes for diaper change. Anti-bacterial is when I need to wipe the table around her, her hands after touching dirty things etc, hand and mouth wipes usage is pretty obvious from its name and the normal wipes. I'll use the normal wipes when i poo too. Keke..
I also had to bring a small tin of milk, milk bottles, bottle brush, detergent, toys, clothes (PJs, outing clothes,bottoms,jacket etc).. The list goes on.... And my luggage got bigger.
Yes, I do have reasons for everything I bring. When you have a child, you will think ahead and run through what will happen during the trip,what is needed, what can she eat,what can she do when she is bored etc..I have a friend who brings slow cooker, rice, cooler box that contains meat for her child when she travels to a less developed country. Just imagine the amount of things to carry and how heavy it is?
Ok, enough about packing.
I really enjoyed myself at the cruise. Excellent service! I will love to go onboard again if possible..
This year, we are going Phuket.. Yes, my sis and Hubs are not going again, same reasons. Hopefully one day they can join us and we can really travel as one whole family!
So exciting! I'm already planning what to bring to wear and throw there already. Hehe..
