Week 23

I had my company's kick start yesterday @ Raffles Marina Country club and i felt BB's first hiccup.. haha..it felt funny and it lasted for like 10 minutes.. It felt like one popcorn popping every 30 seconds.. interesting..haha

Hubs and I attended the First Mums' & Dads' Congress 2011 by Abbott and Mediacorp. I thought the talk was quite useful and light heart-ed.. Especially the topics by speakers from Thomson Medical, DR TC Chang and Mrs Wong Boh Boi.. I even bought the books by Mrs Wong as Im not attending the antenatal class conducted by her, I did'nt want to miss out anything about her teaching..

I weighed myself this morning and my increase is still only +2kg.. Seriously, Im a bit worried as it is already about 6 months and the gain is not alot.. Im not sure if this is normal though...
Im overweight.. so my gynae told me not to exceed 7kg but 2kg in 6 months??

My carpel tunnel seems to has worsen.. Each time i twist my right wrist, there is a "cluck" sound..and it hurts. Been trying to find ways to relieve the pain like massaging, using the YOKO YOKO, using a wrist guard but all doesnt seems to help. Was thinking of taking glucosamine to maybe help, but I cant as there is no reports on safe consumption during pregnancy.. My gynae suggested for me to go the orthopaedic and the only way is to inject steroids at the pain area -_-"" I'll skip that, thanks!!

On the 9th September, I was tested positive for my pregnancy and i could not believe it at all..
The feeling was mixed: Happiness and confused

I told Sotong about it and he was too, shocked for words. I was at his place when I took the test, we wanted to double confirm so we went out in the morning, the next day to buy another test kit, this time, a better one..


Its confirmed.. Though the result is about 2-3 weeks, the actual was about 4-5 weeks liao.. We then told our parents who was really really happy for us..


Sotong booked an appointment for me at NUH on the 18th of September 2010 but my tummy cramps hurts alot, so I did some research online to find a gynae that is located near my place and took time off to see the doc. I forgot his name but he is from Tiong Bahru Thomson Women Clinic..

He did some scans and confirmed the water bag existence. I did not really feel comfy with him, not because he is a guy, just that well, he's not as friendly as the forum girls mentioned, so i still decided to go for the NUH appointment.

Really thank God I went because when I Met Dr Chua Tsei Meng, I knew I wanted to stick with her throughout my pregnancy!! She is very friendly and kept smiling. Actually, I like the NUH clinic better, it feels very cozy and everyone is friendly. Love it!


And on the 7th Jan 2011, I did a detailed scan to check on BB's gender.. Its confirmed a girl.. Our baby Inez.. =)

I've gained 2kg and BB is 500gms.. Am already 23 weeks and felt BB moving inside me.. The first time I felt it moving was on the 1st Jan 2011, yes, New Year.. A sweet beginning to start off the year.. Sotong felt BB moving only lately... I can still feel moving right now..

The feeling? like bubbles popping in your tummy, moving around.. each day its moving more and more, and I can feel it stronger too.
